Regular meetings are often held on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise noted.
All meetings are open free of charge to anyone wishing to observe and enjoy.

Regular & Quarterly Meetings are held at Brethren Village in the FieldCrest Room.
The time to meet up is at 7:45am. I drive a silver Hyundai Sonata. Two members have expressed interest in traveling with me so I will have one seat available. Depending on how the day goes, a dinner stop may be made on the way back. Possible quick rest stop on the way there.
Heather is also going to be a driver, but she plans on spending the whole day (and possibly most of the night) in Philly.
The cost is $23 for each adult ticket. Parking is $16 and you may pay for your zoo admission and parking online. The address is 3400 W Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Summer Picnic – Saturday, July 22, 2017 (4 pm) – Manheim Township Community Park (Formerly Neffsville Park) – 209 Petersburg Road, Lancaster, PA, 17601) – Kiwanis ll Pavilion.
Models will be provided a generous selection of the best images for personal
use in exchange for their time and signing the standard model release.
The club will cull and color correct the best images from everyone to
provide to each model. (Photographers are welcome to provide their edits
in place of the club’s edits by providing them to the club in a timely
manner. Make those arrangements with the event leaders.)

This Sunday, Oct 15 the Lancaster Camera Club will be going to historic Gettysburg. — Some of the places we will be photographing include, the Soldier’s National Cemetery, the historic Gettysburg Battlefield, Devil’s Den, Little Round Top, and more!
The place to meet is the strip mall named The Shops at Prospect. From Route 30 West get off at the Prospect Street Exit and make a left at the exit. Turn in at the strip mall on the left hand side. There is a Turkey Hill on the right. The time to meet is 11 am on Sunday.
Bring your camera gear, water, and anything else you feel you may need for the outing. I now drive a silver 2016 Hyundai Elantra. I will be waiting near Wendy’s, closest to Prospect Street. I have room for three passengers. Heather will be a driver based on the amount of members going.

LCC members show at Mulberry Art Studio – opening December 1st, 2017
You are invited to participate in our December show at Mulberry Art Studios in Lancaster!
The details are below and now is the time to prepare! Notice these dates:
1-Register by Friday October 20th (note: Phyllis Wimer will be away from October 4th to the 10th)
2-Information on your picture(s) is due by November 20th.
In time for first Friday, Lancaster Camera Club will again be showing our work at Mulberry Art Studios in December. We view this as an opportunity for the community to see our work and attract new members. There will be a reception on first Friday and those who participate in the show are encouraged to be at the studio to greet people who stop by. Club President, Heather Shugars is in charge of this event.
For those who are new to the club, photos must be framed, wired, and ready to hang. You may offer them for sale but be aware that Mulberry Art Studios takes 35% of the sale price. Figure that in when you price your photo(s). You may also offer smaller items for sale such as greeting cards and matted prints, as many as you like.
This year for the first time we are being charged for use of the studio so there will be a participation fee of about $10 per person, depending on how many of us show our pictures. Also this year we will be using only one room on the first floor, the Louise Gallery. This means that you may be limited to one or two framed photos, again depending on how many members participate.
As a result, we must know who plans to display their work so that we can let those persons know the finalized cost and the number and size(s) of photos you may display.
Please note: if you participated in the clothespin challenge last spring, you are asked to supply an 8×10 print of your clothespin photo in a simple thin black frame with no mat. A plastic $2 frame such as those from Costco or Walmart are recommended. (Call Heather Shugars with any questions.) These pictures will be displayed as a group and do not count toward the number of pictures you can display otherwise.
So, here’s what to do:
By October 20th: if you plan to participate please email Phyllis Wimer at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know. Email her even if your only picture is from the clothespin challenge!
By November 20th: send the information form** (about the pictures you are submitting) to Phyllis Wimer who will then create a card to hang beside your photo(s) at the gallery
**Once you register, the information form for the details about your photo(s), the amount of the participation fee, and instructions for dropping off your photo(s) before the show, will be sent to you.
Then, at any time, you may give the participation fee to club treasurer Dave Kramer or send it to Dave at 272 Sand CT, Ephrata, PA 17522.
