First Friday Photography Venues for 2014-02-07

Here’s a list of Lancaster City venues that I believe will be showing some photographs this First Friday, February 7th:

Demuth Museum
120 E. King Street
5 – 8 pm
Pennsylvania POP (Annual Demuth Invitational): This year’s Invitational, which includes works from over fifty contemporary artists from Lancaster and the surrounding region, is based on Charles Demuth’s continued influence on contemporary artists in the realm of Pop Art. All works will be for sale.

Annex 24 Gallery
24 W. Walnut Street
5 – 9 pm
Artist Closet – an open bid Exhibition: At Annex 24 Gallery we believe EVERYONE should have the opportunity to afford original art and are excited to create such an opportunity. We will be hosting a silent auction of work from Lori Lee, Leslie Scott, Sam Beitzel, Brian Wolfson, Loryn Spangler-Jones, Kenny the Kidd and others. From paintings to sculpture to photography and jewelry, all works in this exhibit will have starting bids as low as $10.00 with maximum reserve bids at $100. At 9 pm sharp, all work will go back to its retail price. Join us for what is sure to be an exciting and fun evening of super affordable art and silent bidding wars!

Pathways: Pathways is a three person photo exhibit featuring photography from the lenses of Matt Kirkley, Chris Tress and Dave Witmer.

The Parrot Gallery
328 W. Orange Street
6 – 9 pm
The MASKED IDENTITY: The work is black and white photography exposed with liquid light emulsion on cotton cloth. The pieces are sealed over with melted beeswax. By Elizabeth Anne Schrock Rosenfeld.
