First Friday Photography Venues for 2013-07-05

Here’s a list of Lancaster City venues that I believe will be showing some photographs this First Friday, July 5th:

The Ware Center
42 N. Prince St.
6 – 8 pm
DePaul/DePaul: Collaboration in Art & Life will feature Kim and Tom DePaul’s work:
The DePaul’s clearly are a couple who think outside the box. At a time in life when most people are thinking of retirement, Kim went back to grad school for an MFA in Photography and Tom revisited and reinvented an old love: oil painting. Their inspiration sometimes explores the same subject with unique and individual results.

David The Goldsmith
45 N. Market St.
5 – 9 pm
July First Friday: Featuring three artists – Mike Tymon, Cindy Myers and Bill Hoin:
Mike Tymon’s paintings are oil on board and canvas, Cindy Myers’ photography is entitled “Reflections & Light” and Bill Hoin will feature woven wall hangings and handbags.

Pennsylvania College of Art & Design
204 N. Prince St.
5 – 9 pm
PCA&D Summer Preview: Current Student Artwork from the BFA Program:
This exhibit features outstanding artwork created by our rising junior and senior BFA students. A wide variety of media will be represented including digital and hand drawn illustration, painting, printmaking, photography and graphic design.

Isadore Gallery
228 N. Prince St.
First Friday Hours: 5 – 9 pm.
Surroundings & Playing with Flow:
Photographic works by artists Christopher Bavaria and John Holmgren. Exhibit runs through July 27, 2013.

Annex 24 Gallery*
24 W. Walnut St.

Usually has some photography on display even though they don’t say so in their First Friday announcement.

“Parked” (sponsored by Coe Camera)
For this First Friday’s location and time, check their Facebook page.
“Parked” is a collaborative, one-year, photography exhibit by Ole Hongvanthong and Taylor Brown. Unlike your art galleries, museums, college campuses, and cafes, “Parked” is housed inside a U-haul truck. To get in the spirit of the upcoming holiday, “Parked” has chosen the theme “America” for this month’s art display. Come out this First Friday to celebrate with us!
