First Friday Photography Venues for 2013-03-01

Here’s a list of Lancaster City venues that I believe will be showing some photographs this First Friday, March 1st:

Pennsylvania College of Art & Design*
204 N. Prince St.
First Friday Hours: 5 – 9 pm
Photo/Synthesis: This exhibit features Mark Stockton, Julianna Foster, Tim Portlock, Anita Allyn, Roxana Perez-Mendez, Linda Yun and Piper Brettl, whose work is informed by photography.  Each artist is also a member of Vox Populi, an artist collective gallery that works to support the challenging and experimental work of under-represented artists in Philadelphia, PA.

Lancaster Museum of Art
135 N. Lime St.
First Friday Hours: 5 – 8 pm
2013 Scholastic Art Awards: The Lancaster Museum of Art is pleased to exhibit artwork by Lancaster County students from grade 7 – 12 that have received an Honorable Mention, Silver Key and Gold Key award. An awards recognition ceremony will take place at 6 pm. Exhibit runs through March 24.

Be Well Lancaster*
7 N. Mulberry St.
First Friday Hours: 5 – 8 pm
Photographic Collection by Jennifer Mininger: Artist will be present. Exhibit runs through March 31.

Lancaster Dental Arts*
60 West Walnut Street
First Friday Hours: 5 – 9 pm
Prelude to Spring: Exhibit of Harrisburg-based photojournalist Debra Schell’s photography. Schell has experience as a reporter and photographer covering breaking news, sports, politics, police, crime, local government and schools, budget analysis, and writing feature stories and community pieces. Schell’s work has been published in many local and publications. Schell will be present.

First Friday Hours: 11:30 am – 6:30 pm
An exhibit on Nineteenth Century Photography running from February 1 through April 1 in the Nissley Gallery.
