First Friday Photography Venues for 2012-06-01

Here’s a list of Lancaster City venues that I believe will be showing some photographs this First Friday, June 1st:

The Ware Center*
Millersville University Lancaster, 42 N. Prince St.
1) Lancaster Summer Arts Festival 27th Annual Photography Exhibit Expanded Visions 2012. Opening reception 5 – 8 pm.
2) You Must Believe in Spring cabaret presenting Marieann Meringolo performing the music of Michel Legrand.
3) JP McCaskey Student Artwork Show

Lancaster Museum of Art*
135 N. Lime St.
Cameo Series: Conceived as a series of focused individual exhibitions, highlighting some of Lancaster’s premier artistic talents including Gail Gray, E.M. Saniga, K.K. DePaul and Frank Errigo. Meet the artists, 5-8 pm.

Mulberry Art Studios*
19-21 N. Mulberry St.
1)Something Different: Featuring local artist Carl Schlott whose paintings are modern and abstract, intense and colorful.
2)Embracing the New Day: George Debronsky’s fine art photography goes beyond capturing a moment, transporting the viewer to  another place.
3) Fine art photography by Todd Smith.

The Painted Desert Gallery
227 N. Duke St.
Presenting AJ Nutter’s documentary photography about hydraulic fracturing in Pennsylvania and Rose Principe’s abstract expressionist large-scale paintings and drawings.  Meet the artists.

The Road of Never-Ending Delight: Fine art and landscape photography by Christine Welch. Meet the artist. Open for First Friday only. 5- 8:30 pm.

Exhibit 110
110 E. King St.
Presenting new paintings by Claire Giblin featuring the “Prayer Flag” series, Fine Art Photography by Sherry Dewald, paintings by Gail Grey and paintings by Velma and Renny Magill. Open 5:30-8 pm.

Annex 24 Gallery*

Fluid Colors: Artwork by  various artists that show vibrant colors flowing freely between different forms of art. Meet the artists.
